At Rohde & Schwarz, we all agree that our employees can only come up with new ideas and realize them if they know that those who matter most in their lives are well taken care of. This has inspired the extensive support services we already offer – from our family service to nursing care. We are now adding another valuable service: our "Haus für Kinder" childcare facility in Munich. We thereby want to make it easier for our employees to find childcare for their kids, spare them the uncertainty of long waiting lists and give them a sense of comfort and security. Our new facility is close to our company campus in Friedenstrasse near the Munich East train station, ensuring that parents do not have far to go when dropping off and picking up their children.

Focus on technology
To provide our staff with advice and help when they need it, and to support the development of the little ones over an extended period, our childcare facility has three daycare groups with a total of 36 children and two kindergarten groups with 46 places. It is important to us to expose the children to science and technology, because children's curiosity knows no bounds and can be seen in new ways every day. That is why we want to make them comfortable communicating in German and English, too, by hiring bilingual carers. To adapt the daily routine to parents' needs, the drop-off and pick-up times can be arranged flexibly during our opening hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm.
"Give me time to do what I already know how to do myself. And help me only with what I can't do". It's all about participation here. This means encouraging age-appropriate involvement by giving the children a say in planning the day's activities. With a total of 57 daycare centers, 24 of which are operated for companies, AWO Munich has been an experienced provider of childcare for 45 years. And to ensure that the children enjoy healthy nutrition as they learn and discover things, fresh meals are provided daily by an organic caterer.
