Information Technology : Junior Support Engineer

Your tasks

• Providing friendly technical support for our full range of products to our valued customers.
• Tracking and managing tickets for all customer-reported issues to stay organized.
• Setting up and configuring our products based on customer needs and our support guidelines.
• Recreating reported issues in our testing lab and sharing all the key details with our R&D folks to help improve things.

Your qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field -we're flexible if you've got the right hands-on know-how!
• Solid knowledge of Linux OS to help you navigate our systems.
• Understanding of IP protocol stacks and IP data networking basics.
• Great communication skills - you'll be chatting with customers and teammates, so being clear and approachable is key.
• A well-organized, structured mindset with a knack for teamwork and cooperation.
• Strong English skills, both spoken and written, to connect effectively with everyone. Bonus Points If You Have
• Experience with VoIP protocols.
• Skills in shell scripting or any other scripting language.
• Familiarity with databases like MySQL or Postgres.
• Knowledge of telecom protocols (think ISDN, ISUP, R2, and similar).
• Certifications like Cisco or LPIC-1 - these are a huge plus for getting up to speed on our tech!
