More channels

Every additional instrument takes up bench or rack space. The R&S®HMP5050 power supply provides five independent channels in one instrument, so you can run more tests at the same time with fewer instruments.

Low noise, high precision

Noise on the supply voltage can distort your measurements. The new R&S®HMP series keeps voltage ripple below 350 µV (RMS). Together with a high resolution, this helps you obtain more accurate measurement results.

Channel fusion

Some tests need more voltage or current than a single channel can provide. With channel fusion, you combine the outputs of the R&S®HMP5050 in series for higher voltage or in parallel for higher current. This way, you reach up to 175 V or 75 A and control the combined output through one channel. You scale the instrument to your project without adding hardware.

One control center

Complex test environments quickly become hard to manage. The new R&S®HMP series offers a multi-device mode, so you control several instruments from one control center. Easy synchronization between devices and an intuitive touchscreen with a 4.3-inch display make the setup faster.

Labs

Development and debugging often involve several circuits and instruments at the same time. The R&S®HMP provides up to five independent channels in one instrument. A multi-device mode lets you control several instruments from one control center, and the touchscreen makes manual operation intuitive. This way, you spend less time configuring your bench and more time debugging and prototyping.

Manufacturing

Automated test racks need reliable power that fits into automated workflows. Rack space is limited, and throughput matters. The R&S®HMP supports remote control with scripts, so the same test procedure runs on every device under test. Two R&S®HMP power supplies side-by-side provide eight channels in one rack. You test more devices at the same time, reuse your test scripts and keep rack space free for other instruments.

Education

Advanced electronics labs teach many students at limited bench space. They need instruments that are easy to learn and flexible enough for different exericses. The R&S®HMP provides several independent channels, so one instrument powers multiple circuits at the same time. The touchscreen allows quick setup with fewer steps. Each bench needs fewer instruments, and students can start their experiments sooner.
