Crossed log-periodic antenna for horizontal or vertical polarization

The R&S®HL024S7 consists of the R&S®HL024A1 crossed log-periodic antenna and a broadband preamplifier. It is suitable for receiving linearly polarized waves. Horizontal or vertical polarization are available. The preamplifier can be optionally switched on to prevent a significant reduction in S/N from loss in RF cables that connect the antenna to a receiver. The R&S®HL024S7 serves as an independent antenna and as a feed for the R&S®AC008 microwave directional antenna.

Wide frequency range

Saves money and maintains performance

The R&S®HL024S7 covers the extremely wide frequency range from 1 GHz to 18 GHz, saving cost and space for mounting a multiple antenna system.

Selectable polarization

For detecting signals with horizontal or vertical polarization 

The integrated polarization switching network enables the R&S®HL024S7 to switch between horizontal or vertical polarization and to detect signals with different linear polarization with a single antenna.

Selectable broadband preamplifier

For achieving maximum sensitivity and prevent S/N reduction

The R&S®HL024S7 has a selectable low-noise preamplifier and a switch to bypass the preamplifier. The low-noise preamplifier ensures maximum antenna sensitivity and prevents significant S/N reductions from loss in RF cables when connecting the antenna to the receiver. When exposed to high signal levels, the amplifier can be bridged with the bypass.

Can be used as feed antenna or as independent antenna

Saves money and allows different use of antenna 

The R&S®HL024S7 can be used as a feed for the R&S®AC008 microwave directional antenna or as an independent antenna, enabling various applications with a single antenna.
