u-blox, a leading global supplier of GNSS modules, and Rohde & Schwarz have successfully validated u-blox’s latest automotive GNSS module in accordance with the recently published Chinese GB/T test requirement for automotive on-board GNSS positioning systems using an automated R&S SMBV100B based GNSS simulator solution. This cutting-edge solution will be demonstrated at Mobile World Congress 2025 in Barcelona.

The R&S®SMBV100B mid-range vector signal generator features 1 GHz modulation bandwidth, ultra high output power, excellent EVM and ACP up to 6 GHz.

Rohde & Schwarz, in collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., will conduct a comprehensive set of tests for NB-IoT over non-terrestrial networks (NTN) to accurately verify two-way internet of things (IoT) data across various operating modes using GSO and GEO constellations in line with the 3GPP Release 17. At the MWC Shanghai 2023, Rohde & Schwarz will hold a live demonstration of the test solution at the company’s booth with Qualcomm Technologies’ NTN Release 17 IoT chipsets.

The R&S TS8991 over-the-air (OTA) test system from Rohde & Schwarz is the first to be approved by CTIA Certification for testing 5G A-GNSS antenna performance. This solution measures the performance of the global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receiver in a wireless device.
