Recently named by Newsweek as one of the Best American Mid-Sized Workplaces in 2026, Rohde & Schwarz is seeking an experienced Account Manager to sustain and grow our Network Analytics business. This position can be established anywhere within the United States but with preference to Texas or the U.S. West Coast. This individual will work within a team focused on increasing Rohde & Schwarz’s market share in the United States. Candidates will have a proven track record of achieving business/growth targets and strategic visions with a strong personal drive to contribute directly to R&S’s Defense, Security & Critical infrastructure divisions evolution.

Your tasks

  • Grow Rohde & Schwarz market share – develop and manage sales funnel/forecast as part of the sales process. -
  • Acquiring new customers and expanding existing relationships for Network Analytics products.
  • Work with technical teams on deployment proposals
  • Meet revenue targets
  • Identify potential clients (ISPs, enterprises, telecoms)
  • Proactively approach potential customers through market research, industry associations, trade shows, social media, and networks.
  • Plan and conduct executive-level product demos and lead contract negotiations.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies for Network Analytics products.
  • Collaborate with R&D to create tailored solutions and analyze market/competitive data for new opportunities.
  • Stay up to date with global IP network analytics technology trends to influence product roadmaps.
  • Share expertise through content creation, internal networking, and knowledge transfer to various teams.

Your qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications or Business (with strong technical exposure) and/or 5+ years working with deep packet inspection products / network probes in a sales capacity
  • B2B sales experience (3+ years preferred)
  • Experience with “solution selling”
  • Experienced in lead generation, negotiation, and closing deals
  • IP networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching)
  • Understand concepts like packet capture, DPI (deep packet inspection), latency, throughput
  • Familiarity with tools like Wireshark
  • Understanding of telecom networks (4G/5G) and how probes monitor traffic
  • Basic cybersecurity awareness (intrusion detection, traffic analysis)
  • Professional experience at an IP network analytics equipment vendor is an advantage.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%.
  • Enthusiasm for new technical trends and ambition to shape the future.
  • Strong business development and marketing skills with the ability to manage multiple sales projects.
  • Ability to analyze customer requirements and position R&S solutions that meet those requirements, emphasizing the value of our solutions.
  • Ability to add value to the team as both leader and contributor.
  • Exceptional communications skills in person, over the phone and in writing.
  • In order to be considered, candidates must reside in the US (DFW area or West Coast is preferred) and have permanent work authorization.

The total compensation for this position is $150K-$210K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
