Capturing VoIP audio delay with the R&S®CMA180

VoIP audio delay testing on the R&S®CMA180 is an integrated, one-button solution. It sources VoIP traffic to the radio under test, then demodulates and analyzes the returned RF signal. The radio under test needs a dedicated VoIP interface, with transmit frequency and SIP settings matching the R&S®CMA180. On the instrument, the generator is set to VoIP mode with a matching frequency ID and SIP URI. Starting the generator then begins transmission. On the analyzer side, frequency, power and modulation type are matched to the radio. The method is set to transmit audio delay. Results appear in a table, updated with each cycle alongside statistical values for average, maximum and standard deviation.
