Rohde & Schwarz USA‘s critical infrastructure business unit is growing, and we are seeking enthusiastic applicants to join our team. This opening is for proven Business Development Manager focused on driving business development of sales of our Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems (CUAS) for customers across North America. Strong candidates will demonstrate excellent entrepreneurial attitude and communication skills with a proven track record in the CUAS space. The position is based in the DC/MD/VA area with exceptions made for exceptional candidates.

Your tasks

  • Grow Rohde & Schwarz’s CUAS market share and brand awareness.
  • Develop, manage and work towards overachieving the sales funnel/forecast.
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities in the North America markets.
  • Develop the North American CUAS capture strategy and work with international colleagues to align product development/roadmaps.
  • Influence and capture existing opportunities based on knowledge of market mechanisms, R&S product benefits & relationships to the customer community.
  • Develop campaign strategy, price to win and teaming arrangements to increase win rate on targeted opportunities.
  • Contribute to and/or author marketing materials, customer RFI responses, proposals and quotes.
  • Establish effective working relationships within the sales, product management, and program management, within R&S North America and with other R&S affiliates.
  • Gain understanding and use the R&S sales process and the R&S sales support tools.

Your qualifications

  • • BBA/BS in business, management, engineering, or similar degree. • 5+ years of experience in sales or related technical field. • CUAS domain knowledge or previous experience in CUAS environment • A strong team player who is creative, goal oriented, and customer focused. • Strong cultural fit working in a diverse international environment. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Embraces and thrives in an environment of change. • Ability to travel up to 50% nationally with some international travel. • To be considered, candidate must be U.S. person capable of obtaining a US Government Security Clearance

The total compensation for this position is $153K-$204K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
