Your tasks

  • In this role you are driving the new space based solution portfolio, working closely with local regional sales organizations, providing targeted support within the assigned countries and/or territory
  • You provide technical advice to customers, end-users in the pre-sales phase and develop customized total solutions together with our business partners
  • You translate complex customer requirements into concise, technically quotation documents
  • You accompany commercial contract negotiations, evaluate opportunities, risks and shape offer and price strategies
  • You work closely with the technical teams, industry partners, customers, and end users making presentations and space solution demonstrations attending relevant conferences and exhibitions
  • You manage internal and external expectations, participate in forecast meetings, as well as prepare and maintain realistic forecast information
  • You regular report on market, sales, partner activity and competitor information and continuous update opportunities in the existing reporting tools (e.g. C4C, Action Sales Plan, Deal funnel reporting, etc.)

Your qualifications

  • Degree in engineering, communications technology, computer science or a comparable field
  • Basic knowledge of the electromagnetic radio spectrum, emitters, receivers, antennas, satellite platforms and communications
  • B2B Sales experience in space applications and/or defense & security sector
  • Proven track record of selling complex solutions to government or enterprise customers. Having affinity with the new space industry and/or scientific ESA type space programs is a plus
  • Experience managing long sales cycles, tenders/RFPs, and multi-stakeholder decision processes
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Proactive, sales-oriented personality who enjoys to open up new markets and draft new long-term partnerships
  • Willingness to travel internationally and ability to easily maneuver in intercultural and interdisciplinary environments
  • Fluent command of English (written and spoken)
