We are looking for a Cybersecurity System Engineer to support complex Air Traffic Control (ATC) and Air Defence (AD) Voice Communication System projects. The role combines cybersecurity engineering, system architecture, customer requirements analysis, risk assessment, and project delivery support. The successful candidate will act as the cybersecurity interface between System Engineering, Product Management, Development, Project Management, suppliers and customers. The main objective is to ensure that cybersecurity requirements are correctly understood, translated into system design, implemented within the target solution, and verified through appropriate test concepts and documentation. This is not a pure SOC role, it is a system engineering role with a strong cybersecurity focus, requiring the ability to work with mission-critical communication systems, customer-specific environments, and regulated public authority projects."

Your tasks

Responsible for security system engineering activities for Air Traffic Control (ATC)/Air Defence (AD) customer VCS projects, including defining the security architecture and assessing security risks.
Analyzing customer requirements in collaboration with product management, sales, development departments, and suppliers.
Designing a system security concept tailored to the customer's operational requirements and coordinating the integration of all cyber measures into the target system.
Preparing and/or reviewing test concepts/procedures, reports, and system documentation.
Defining and optimizing cybersecurity system engineering processes and tools.
Raising awareness and providing training for project teams within the department on cybersecurity-related topics.
Travel 25% of the working time.

Your qualifications

Completed technical degree with a focus on Computer Science, Information Security, or Communications Engineering.
Solid experience (minimum 3 years) in conceiving, specifying, and designing secure system solutions.
Knowledge of at least one of the following security standards/frameworks is an advantage: ED 2xxx/RTCA equivalent, ISO 27001, ISA/IEC 62443, NIST.
Certifications such as OSCP, CISSP, or ECSA are a plus.
Willingness to collaborate with government and public authority clients.
Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
Ability to act in a customer oriented way, align the interests of various stakeholders, and act proactively.
Willingness to travel internationally (up to 25%) and adapt to cultural differences.
Business fluent Romanian and English, both spoken and written.
