Introduction

We are establishing a new, high-impact leadership role: Vice President for Cross-Subdivisional Products & Solutions, reporting directly to the Executive Vice President of the R&S Test & Measurement Division.

This role is pivotal in shaping the division’s future by driving AI-enabled innovation, scalable cross-subdivisional products and solutions, and harmonized development approaches across the division. The position combines strategic leadership, technical authority, and organizational builder capabilities.

Tasks

  • Build and shape the new business subdivision as part of the Test and Measurement division
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams for AI integration, R&D design authority, and incubation for cross-subdivisional products and solutions
  • Prepare and evolve the subdivision towards full P&L responsibility, including building the foundation for sustainable revenue streams, scalable business models, and financial transparency
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key customers and partners across communications, aerospace & defense, automotive, and industrial/electronics industries
  • Drive leadership alignment and execution excellence across the division, acting as a catalyst for cross-subdivisional collaboration, cultural transformation, and disciplined delivery of strategic initiatives
  • Define, orchestrate, and execute the division-wide AI integration strategy (products, solutions, processes) including the digital customer journey
  • Position AI as a core value driver across the portfolio
  • Establish and lead an incubator team to validate new cross-subdivisional opportunities, and convert ideas into scalable products and solutions
  • Lead the Design Authority function, aligning development methodologies, architecture decisions, and synergy potentials across the test and measurement division

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or equivalent
  • Several years of leadership experience in a technology company with demonstrated ability to lead and develop leaders
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build and shape a new organization 
  • Strong technology vision with business and customer focus and proven success in driving innovation with measurable business impact 
  • Track record in leading complex, cross-organizational initiatives and deep understanding of AI and digital transformation in high-tech environments
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills and highly collaborative leadership style
  • Business-level fluency in English, German is a plus
