Project Management : Project Manager Space Solutions (m/f/d)

Your tasks

• In this role you will drive the new space based solution projects, working closely with internal and external organizations
• You are responsible for complex customer projects, requirement analysis and project management towards final acceptance by the customer
• You manage internal and external expectations, participate in end phases of customer contract meetings, as well as prepare and maintain realistic project challenges and delivery information
• You define internal and external project goals, take responsibility for implementation and ensure the success of the project, always with a view to cost, time, quality and customer satisfaction.
• You set up the project organization and are responsible for resource, scheduling and executing your project withing the given time and budget
• You lead the core and extended project team and are project responsible contact person for internal and external stakeholders
• You seamlessly collaborate, coordinate deliveries and create reliable relation structures with partner organizations, suppliers and other stakeholders
• You regularly report to management, partners and customers, make progress visible and address deviations
• You recognize risks, claims and opportunities early on and initiate targeted countermeasures
• You contribute your project experience and lay the foundation for successful contracts during the proposal phase.

Your qualifications

• Technical degree with a focus on e.g. communications technology, computer science, systems engineering, economics, business administration or a comparable domain
• Professional experience in managing complex projects in the system solution business and extensive knowledge of customer requirements for complex systems
• Experience in risk, claim and opportunity management and in contract drafting
• Excellent knowledge of project management methods (IPMA level C/B, PMP, PRINCE, etc.) and agile working methods
• Basic knowledge of space based radiofrequency communications (transmitter, receivers, antenna, satellite communications, mobile phone communications) and satellite platforms.
• Experience in a matrix organization as well as strong communication skills help you to manage diverse stakeholders and communicate in line with the target group
• Ability to make decisions confidently in critical situations, to communicate and to act in a problem-solving manner involving all stakeholders
• Extensive knowledge of customer requirements for complex systems. Having affinity with the new space industry and/or scientific ESA type space programs is a plus.
• Proactive and can-do personality who enjoys to work in a internationally oriented domain and travel regulary (nationally and inetrnationally)
• You are fluent in written and spoken English
