As one of our Test & Measurement Sales Engineers/Account Managers, you will be part of a customer-focused team dedicated to maximizing sales through the development of new business and working closely with our existing customers utilizing a solutions-based sales approach. Product categories that enable our customers to succeed include spectrum/signal analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, power meters, and communication test systems. We are currently looking for an Account Manager to be based in the Mid Atlantic (MD/VA) area and support existing customers as well as focus on developing new accounts.

Your tasks

  • Understand customer needs and identify how Rohde & Schwarz products can provide technical solutions
  • Create new business opportunities and expand Rohde & Schwarz brand awareness in new and existing customers
  • Effectively demonstrate and communicate how Rohde & Schwarz products can best solve the customers’ measurement/application needs
  • Grow the R&S market share and exceed quota
  • Develop and manage a strong sales funnel
  • Provide input and feedback to product marketing, service and development groups on customer product and application requirements

Your qualifications

  • BSEE (or equivalent technical education)
  • Due to certain US Government and prime contractor customer requirements, candidates must be a U.S. person
  • Technical sales experience
  • An understanding of current electronic industry technologies (aerospace & defense and semiconductor/components technologies are a plus)
  • The ideal candidate will have a passion for selling, an intense focus on customer service, and an overwhelming desire to succeed
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer interface skills
  • Expertise in territory and account planning
  • The ability to travel throughout the territory with some possible out of territory and international travel.
  • Account knowledge and experience with the Mid Atlantic area and local customers is highly desired

The total compensation for this position is $137K-$230K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
