Rohde & Schwarz selected for Royal Navy’s Type 26 Batch 2

Royal Navy puts its trust in Rohde & Schwarz communications systems for five additional Type 26 Global Combat Ships.

Rohde & Schwarz will deliver five more integrated communication and control systems, based on NAVICS, for the Type 26 Batch 2 Global Combat Ship Batch 2 (Ships 4-8) under a contract with BAE Systems.

Rohde & Schwarz has proven yet again that the independent company is optimally equipped to support defense programs as large as Type 26 Global Combat Ship, throughout the complete lifecycle, being a reliable partner for both the Royal Navy and BAE Systems.

NAVICS is the central nervous system of the Type 26 communications system, providing integrated and reliable internal and external communications and processing classified information.
