Introduction

At our Chemnitz site, Rohde & Schwarz develops innovative software and system solutions for test and measurement applications. Together with our teams in software development, signal processing and electrical engineering, we create high-performance instruments and applications that enable our customers to develop, test and analyze sophisticated electronic systems. Tasks

You design, develop and implement modern web user interfaces for our test and measurement instruments, with a focus on signal and waveform generator applications, primarily using React and TypeScript.
You develop the associated backends in C++ and ensure seamless integration of the user interface with our embedded software and device platform.
You evaluate new technologies and frameworks in the web domain and turn suitable approaches into production-ready software solutions.
You design intuitive and ergonomic user interfaces with a strong focus on delivering a consistent and high-quality user experience.
You develop unit and integration tests for frontend and backend components and establish automated testing early in the development process.
You implement end-to-end, system and visual regression tests, including Python-based test automation, to ensure UI stability across releases.
You use AI-assisted development tools for prototyping, test generation and routine development tasks and validate generated results through established code review and testing processes.
You collaborate closely with interdisciplinary software, embedded and device development teams and contribute to new features from technical concept through integration.

Qualifications

You have a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering or a comparable technical discipline.
You have solid experience with modern web technologies, particularly React, TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3, including hooks, functional components and state management.
You have experience developing structured, maintainable and modular web applications and a good understanding of modern software and design principles.
You are familiar with frontend testing and frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library or Playwright.
You have initial practical experience in object-oriented software development with C++, ideally in backend, API or device-related software development.
You are familiar with Git, code reviews, automated testing and CI/CD processes.
Knowledge of Python and experience with end-to-end, system or visual regression testing is an advantage.
Ideally, you have experience with embedded systems, electronic test and measurement or other technically sophisticated devices and applications.
You enjoy working at the intersection of modern web development and complex technical systems, contribute your own ideas and take a structured and proactive approach to your work.
