Power Conversion and EMC Seminar

Course Description

Rohde & Schwarz, Wurth Elektronik, and Texas Instruments present an educational seminar on the design & test of power electronics hardware, with a focus on mitigating EMI challenges. We’ll start with an overview of power electronics, including tips & tricks for accurately performing critical measurements, and explore how integrated modules and GaN can increase power density without sacrificing efficiency. Then we’ll dive into EMC fundamentals and design strategies to minimize EMI early in the design process, followed by a live demo of conducted emissions filtering on a flyback converter. .

What will you learn?

  • Power Measurement Fundamentals: Techniques for Optimizing Measurement Accuracy
  • Increasing Power Density Without Compromising Efficiency with Integrated Modules & GaN
  • EMI Debugging and Pre-Compliance Methodology, Practical Measurements, & Early-Stage Design Considerations
  • Conducted Emissions Fundamentals: CM vs. DM Noise, LISNs, & High-Frequency Behavior of Filter Components
  • Step-by-step EMI Filtering Demonstrated by an EMC Specialist on a Flyback Converter
  • And more…
