One part of 5G certification testing is taking care of Radio Resource Management, called RRM. In FR2 all the tests have to be done over the air. A special setup of testing is given in the 3GPP specification where the right behaviour of a device under tests is checked while receiving the signals from the base station under different angels. The big challenge for a test solution is to provide a big quiet zone of testing which can be supported by the R&S®ATS1800M.
The software platform Contest is used to perform the test cases automatically.
