This webinar is intended for engineers who work on power supply designs. Using saturated inductors is a good method for reducing the size and weight of switched-mode power supplies, if the properties of the inductor are well understood so that a suitable example can be selected. The first webinar of this expert webinar series introduces the fundamental concepts, models and methods for designing switch-mode power supplies making use of saturated inductors. Experimental measurements show how to characterize the inductance and losses of saturated inductors, using basic T&M equipment.
