Demystifying the world of EMC

Delivering expertise – high quality training – free to industry – around the globe

Join EMC experts from throughout the industry; live and online at the Rohde & Schwarz Demystifying EMC virtual conference 2023.

Delve into the evolution of EMC measurement methods and test solutions. Get latest updates on CISPR, RED, ANSI, ISO and MIL standards. Take advantage of the great line up of EMC expert speakers from R&S and industry partners to learn more about EMI testing on space systems, managing risk and design compliance for medical devices and understanding what it takes to run & maintain a test lab. And as always, Lee Hill will entertain and educate you on EMI debug techniques.

Explore new strategies in automotive EMC test to ensure robustness and get an introduction to Reverberation chambers. EMC experts from R&S and our industry partners will share different perspectives for EMC testing under dynamic driving conditions with a practical demonstration. The fun continues with interactive sessions on common antenna test myth busters and understanding precompliance. And just when you think you’re all caught up, our closing session will get you thinking again.

Lee Hill

Founding Partner, SILENT Solutions LLC

Workshop (LIVE): EMI design and measurement tips - Where is the switch to switch off the noise after switching on your switch-mode power supply?

Lee Hill has over 30 years of experience providing hands-on hardware troubleshooting and design reviews to solve and prevent elusive regulatory and functional electrical noise problems. He is Founding Partner of SILENT Solutions LLC and GmbH, an electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and RF design, troubleshooting, and training firm established in 1992. Lee teaches EMC worldwide and is a member of adjunct faculty at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) and an EMC instructor at University of Oxford (England), He earned his MSEE in electromagnetics from the Missouri University of Science and Technology EMC Laboratory, where he studied under Dr.’s Tom Van Doren, Todd Hubing, and James Drewniak. Lee is the named inventor of three US patents for EMI control in electronic systems, and provides expert witness services for patent litigation.

Dimitrios Barakos

R&D engineer, Comtest Engineering

RC Chambers, Moving Automotive Forward

Dimitrios Barakos (1990) was born in Greece and has specialized in both Electrical Power Systems (MSc degree 2014, Technical University of Athens, Greece) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (MSc degree in Electrical Engineering 2017, Eindhoven University of Technology, the Netherlands). Since 2019, Dimitrios joined Comtest Engineering as R&D engineer at, where he is heavily involved in concept & development of various EMC and RF/Antenna test facilities (with a special focus on Reverberation Chambers).
