Fraport社は、搭乗客に対する世界初のウォークスルー型セキュリティ・スキャナのテストをフランクフルト空港で始めました。そのローデ・シュワルツのR&S QPS Walk2000スキャナは保安検査を高速化できるように設計されており、同スキャナの最初の1台が現在、ターミナル1のコンコースAで使用されています。ここでは搭乗客は立ち止まることなく、ふつうの速さでスキャナを通り抜けるだけです。このテスト・評価フェーズを6か月にわたって続ける予定であり、これによってFraport社とローデ・シュワルツはシステムの最適化に役立つ重要な情報が得られるものと考えています。

ローデ・シュワルツのレーダー・テスト・システムでは、運転シナリオを完全なOTA（over-the-air）でシミュレートして、レーダー・ベースの先進運転支援システム（ADAS）や自動運転車（AD）に使うレーダー・センサをテストできます。今回、そのR&S AREG800A車載用レーダーエコー発生器とR&S QAT100アンテナアレイに新たなオプションを導入しました。これにより同システムは、極めて短距離にあることを想定した仮想物体を生成できるようになり、市場でもっとも検出可能距離が短い自動ブレーキ機能であっても現実に即したテストが行えます。
