Battery life estimation
The R&S®CMWrun automation tool can estimate the battery life of a device. The software is capable of calculating integrated values over time. Our solution can estimate when the battery will be fully drained based on the battery capacity.
Long-term measurement with data logging and adjustable sampling rate display
5Msample/s per measurement data processing produces a huge amount of data over time, especially if you are using all four channels and want to run the setup for several days. Depending on the measurement period, this could cause problems due to the user’s hard drive limitations. To counter this, we offer different decimation steps for the displayed data. This also helps filter out noise.
Autoranging
The autoranging feature ensures the lowest absolute error for a measurement that requires high dynamic range (e.g. wake-up process of an NB-IoT module). Every shunt has four different scales. Each scale is ideal for measurements within a certain range. Autoranging automatically switches scales based on the measurement.
Correlation of IP and signaling events within the measurement
Our new event chart offers the unique capability of being able to correlate different IP and signaling events. Users are able to see which event (e.g. sending an SMS, attach to network, etc.) has what impact on increasing or decreasing the power consumption.
Correlation of up to four different measurement points in one report
The R&S®RT-ZVC04A multi-channel power probe offers four different channels, which allows users to measure four different measurement points on one DUT. Users can observe how different sections of the DUT impact power consumption.
