Rohde & Schwarz and MediaTek have teamed up to demonstrate a 5G non-terrestrial network (NTN) new radio (NR) connection based on the latest 3GPP Release 17 specifications at this year's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

V2X의 목표는 도로 안전을 높이고 교통을 효율적으로 관리하는 것입니다.C-V2X는 저지연 V2V(Vehicle-to-Vehicle), V2I(Vehicle-to-Roadside Infrastructure), V2P(Vehicle-to-Pedestrian) 통신 서비스를 제공하여 미래 운전자 보조 시스템에 새로운 차원을 더하도록 설계되었습니다. 3GPP가 Release 14에서 하나의 통신 표준으로 정의한 C-V2X는 물리 계층 통신 인터페이스로 LTE 기술을 사용합니다. 이 표준은 두 가지 통신 유형에 대해 기술합니다. V2N(Vehicle- to-Network) 모드는 셀룰러 Uu 인터페이스를 이용하며, 기존 셀룰러 링크를 사용해 클라우드 서비스를 end-to-end 솔루션에 통합합니다. 이 모드에서는 예를 들면, 특정 지역에 대한 도로 및 교통 정보를 차량으로 전송할 수 있습니다.두 번째 모드는 PC5 인터페이스에서 데이터 통신이 이루어지는 다이렉트 또는 PC5/사이드링크(V2V, V2I, V2P) 통신이라고 합니다. 이 유형에서는 C-V2X에 반드시 셀룰러 네트워크 인프라가 필요한 것은 아닙니다. SIM 및 네트워크 보조 없이 작동할 수 있으며 시간 동기화의 기본 소스로 GNSS를 사용합니다.실제 환경에서 현장 테스트만으로 시스템 기능과 성능을 검증하려면 많은 시간과 비용이 소모되며 매우 까다롭기까지 합니다. 기능과 관련된 요구사항과 그에 따라 요구되는 보조 기능은 항상 달라집니다. 그러므로 개발 및 도입 단계에서 표준 준수 여부를 검증하기 위한 테스트 솔루션이 필요합니다. PC5 직접 통신 유형에서는 시간에 민감한 정보와 안전 관련 정보를 교환할 수 있습니다. R&S® CMW500 등의 모바일 통신 테스터와 C-V2X 시나리오 시뮬레이션 툴을 함께 사용하면 재현 가능한 테스트 시나리오를 실행할 수 있습니다. 그러한 시나리오는 신뢰성 있고 비교 가능한 결과를 얻기 위한 C-V2X 검증 프로세스의 표준화에 필수적이며, 공급업체가 다른 두 C-V2X 기기 간 end-to-end 기능이 정상 작동하는지 여부를 검증하는 데 활용할 수 있습니다.

Rohde & Schwarz, in collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., will conduct a comprehensive set of tests for NB-IoT over non-terrestrial networks (NTN) to accurately verify two-way internet of things (IoT) data across various operating modes using GSO and GEO constellations in line with the 3GPP Release 17. At the MWC Shanghai 2023, Rohde & Schwarz will hold a live demonstration of the test solution at the company’s booth with Qualcomm Technologies’ NTN Release 17 IoT chipsets.

The R&S TS8991 over-the-air (OTA) test system from Rohde & Schwarz is the first to be approved by CTIA Certification for testing 5G A-GNSS antenna performance. This solution measures the performance of the global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receiver in a wireless device. This is critical because Assisted-GNSS is used for E911 emergency calls over 5G.
