Crossed log-periodic antenna for linear or circular polarization

The R&S®HL024S9 consists of the R&S®HL024A1 crossed log-periodic antenna and two broadband preamplifiers. It can receive linearly and circularly polarized waves. The integrated switching network enables the selection of horizontal, vertical, left-hand or right-hand circular polarization. The preamplifiers prevent a significant reduction in S/N from loss in RF cables connecting the antenna to the receiver. The R&S®HL024S9 serves as an independent antenna and as a feed for the R&S®AC008 microwave directional antenna.

Wide frequency range

The R&S®HL024S9 covers the extremely wide frequency range from 1 GHz to 18 GHz, saving cost and space for mounting a multiple antenna system.

Selectable polarization

For detection of signals with linear or circular polarization 

The integrated switching network enables the R&S®HL024S9 to switch between horizontal, vertical, left-hand or right-hand circular polarization and to detect signals with different polarization with a single antenna.

Broadband preamplifiers

The R&S®HL024S9 has two low-noise preamplifiers.
The low-noise preamplifiers ensure maximum antenna sensitivity and prevent significant S/N reductions from loss in RF cables when connecting the antenna to the receiver.
