Recently named by Newsweek as one of the Best American Mid-Sized Workplaces in 2026, Rohde & Schwarz is seeking a versatile, high-potential professional with a strong foundation in Supply Chain Management, Production Planning, or Manufacturing Operations. Reporting directly to the Director of Supply Chain, you will sit squarely within the supply chain organization and be engaged whenever a change arises from the original planned schedule, addressing subsequent material and process modifications. Acting as the primary operational liaison between Engineering, Design Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Materials, you will co-facilitate change workflows, evaluate Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), and ensure flawless material accountability in SAP. You will partner closely with the Program Manager and act as a key supply chain voice on project change committees, direct the repurposing of materials already pulled or reserved for production, and manage necessary adjustments to bills of materials and production orders.

Your tasks

  • Change Committee Participation & Supply Chain Advocacy: Serve as an active core member and stakeholder on project change committees—partnering with the Program Manager and committee leads—to review, evaluate, and disposition ECRs, ECOs, and ECNs through a supply chain and inventory lens.
  • Cross-Functional Communication Bridge: Function as the primary supply chain operational liaison connecting the Director of Supply Chain, Program Management, Engineering, Design Engineering, Operations, Quality, Materials, procurement, and manufacturing plants.
  • Schedule Shift & Substitution Execution: Manage change workflows when responding to shifting schedules, priority changes, and supply chain constraints that warrant material substitutions and adjustments.
  • Material Disposition & SAP Accountability: Provide precise direction on material re-assignment, substitution, and the repurposing of materials already pulled from stock under existing production orders, ensuring strict material accountability and inventory integrity within SAP.
  • Documentation & Strategic Reporting: Maintain meeting logs.  Track change implementation metrics and backlogs to report status and escalation risks upward to the Director of Supply Chain.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Provide robust leadership, oversight, guidance, training, and mentoring to your direct report(s) and project team members on key project procedures, SAP practices, risk mitigation, and cross-functional stakeholder coordination.
