ローデ・シュワルツのレーダー・テスト・システムでは、運転シナリオを完全なOTA（over-the-air）でシミュレートして、レーダー・ベースの先進運転支援システム（ADAS）や自動運転車（AD）に使うレーダー・センサをテストできます。今回、そのR&S AREG800A車載用レーダーエコー発生器とR&S QAT100アンテナアレイに新たなオプションを導入しました。これにより同システムは、極めて短距離にあることを想定した仮想物体を生成できるようになり、市場でもっとも検出可能距離が短い自動ブレーキ機能であっても現実に即したテストが行えます。

ローデ・シュワルツはバーチャルテスト走行技術のパイオニアであるIPG Automotive社と連携して、車載レーダーのHIL（Hardware-in-the-Loop）統合テストに新たな可能性を与え、自律走行（AutonomousDriving：AD）テストの場を試験場から開発ラボへと移すことでコスト削減をはかれるようにしました。IPGAutomotive社のCarMakerシミュレーション・ソフトウェアにR&S AREG800Aレーダー・エコー発生器とR&SQAT100アドバンスト・アンテナアレイを組み合わせて、Euro NCAPが規定するようなADAS/ADシナリオについて、自動車メーカーが制御可能な環境のなかで安全かつ時間効率に優れた低コストな方法でシミュレーションできるようにしたのです。この組み合わせなら、自動車のOEMメーカーやレーダーセンサのサプライヤにとって総合的なレーダーセンサ試験プラットフォームが整います。レーダーセンサの検証やリアルタイムな閉ループ特性の評価に活用でき、ASAM規格への準拠も可能です。

ローデ・シュワルツは、楠本化成株式会社(本社 東京都千代田区) および株式会社マックシステムズ(本社 愛知県名古屋市)と協業し、楠本化成株式会社エタック事業部みずなみ試験場(岐阜県瑞浪市)にて車載レーダーの受託試験をスタートさせました。小型OTAチャンバーと各種測定機器をそろえ、さまざまな条件でのレーダー性能評価を短時間に実施することが可能となります。これにより、コストや設置場所などの問題から、自社で測定環境を構築することが困難な場合においても、各国の電波法テストにおけるプリコンプライアンス評価やレーダー検知性能の評価を実施して頂けるようになりました。
