Introduction

At our Chemnitz site, Rohde & Schwarz develops innovative software and system solutions for test and measurement applications. Together with our teams in software development, signal processing and electrical engineering, we create high-performance instruments and applications that enable our customers to develop, test and analyze sophisticated electronic systems. As part of an international technology company with more than 16000 employees, we collaborate across locations to develop solutions that meet the highest standards of precision, performance and quality.

Tasks

  • As Senior Systems Engineer, you take technical ownership of device-level systems and system integration for our next-generation signal generators and ensure that system requirements are consistently implemented across hardware, FPGA and software.
  • You perform systems and requirements engineering and ensure end-to-end traceability from requirements through system architecture and implementation to verification and test.
  • You coordinate the definition of devices and components across interdisciplinary engineering teams and translate technical requirements into clear and measurable specifications.
  • You define technical specifications, acceptance criteria and pass/fail criteria and take end-to-end ownership of the system verification and test strategy.
  • You develop system-level test cases, test plans and simulation scenarios and drive early verification and shift-left approaches throughout the development lifecycle.
  • You coordinate system integration, verification and validation of complex HW/SW systems and ensure a reliable handover of test concepts and artefacts to production and test teams.
  • You continuously improve systems engineering and verification methods and explore AI-assisted approaches for test generation, data analysis and engineering workflows.
  • You coach engineering teams on requirements traceability, testability and system verification and foster close collaboration between our development teams in Chemnitz and Munich.
