Testing VOR with the R&S®CMA180

VOR signals consist of a carrier modulated by a reference signal and a variable signal. Configure these signals by selecting Avionics from the list of available Analog modes, then accessing the VOR tab. Set the three basic parameters: frequency, level and bearing angle. The bearing angle is the phase difference between the reference and variable signals, and it determines the radial. Each signal component, reference, variable and ID, can be enabled, disabled or modified individually. For the ID signal, use a tone in place of the Morse code or voice signal used by real stations.
