The R&S®DDF255 combines the extremely powerful R&S®ESMD wideband monitoring receiver with the accurate correlative interferometer DF method. This combination yields a high-precision wideband direction finder featuring extensive measurement and analysis functions. With its high integration density and optional DC power supply, the R&S®DDF255 is also ideal for mobile applications.
This application brochure describes the sophisticated digital signal processing implemented in all modern Rohde&Schwarz receivers. The implementation is optimized for applications such as detecting unknown signals, identifying interference, spectrum monitoring, spectrum clearance, signal search over wide frequency ranges, producing signal content and direction finding of identified signals. The advantages of digital signal processing for radiomonitoring operators in their daily work are also explained.
The R&S®ADDx DF antennas are decisive for the high efficiency of the Rohde & Schwarz single-channel direction finders because they offer unique technical innovations. The wide product range covers stationary, transportable and mobile applications. In development, the focus was on the lightning protection concept of the antennas and their immunity to harsh ambient conditions.
R&S®ADDx compact single-channel DF antennas are decisive for the performance of the Rohde & Schwarz direction finders. The technology is based on more than 50 years of experience in the development of DF antennas and, despite their compact size, they offer superior sensitivity and accuracy from 20 MHz to 6 GHz.
The R&S®MC40 extends the frequency range of modern 18 GHz to 40 GHz monitoring systems. With a 2 GHz conversion bandwidth, it is a future-ready investment to meet the requirements of tomorrow’s signal environments. The small form factor and the open SCPI interface support easy integration into any existing system.

R&S®CA100 is a standalone software solution for analysis, classification, demodulation and decoding of digital and analog IF signals. The software provides powerful signal analysis and signal processing functions and runs on a Windows PC. If connected to modern Rohde & Schwarz monitoring receivers with internal digital downconverters (DDC), e.g. R&S®ESME or R&S®ESMD, up to four signals can be processed in parallel.
Monitoring receivers must meet certain requirements to be used in a TDOA-based radiolocation system. This application brochure describes these requirements as well as other parameters that are of interest when selecting sensors.
