The R&S® SMU-K46 option generates signals for CDMA2000®, the North American standard for the third mobile radio generation. The R&S® SMU supports the CDMA2000® standard 3GPP2 C.S0002-C, version 1.0, may 2002 (release C). Even signals for 1xEV-DV can be generated using R&S® SMU-K46.
Functionality overview of R&S®SMU-K46:
- Packet channel according to 1xEV-DV on the downlink
- Operating modes “Traffic”, “Access”, “Enhanced Access” and “Common Control” on the uplink
- “Misuse For Output Power Control” parameter for varying the original normal transmit power over time
- Simulation of up to 64 additional mobile stations
- Clipping for reducing the crest factor (vector & scalar)
- All channel coding modes included in IS-2000 (Frame Quality Indicator, Convolutional Encoder, Turbo Encoder, Symbol Puncture, Interleaver, etc)
